One of the projects that I found particularly compelling and enjoyable was the lyric book. I concluded that the best way to complete this project would be to create a new lyric book with a new song, one that I felt a stronger connection to than with the previous effort. The song “Alkali Underachiever” by Kairiki Bear, performed by Hatsune Miku, is delivered from the viewpoint of Ruruka, a magical girl. Ruruka, despite her magical powers, struggles against negative emotions such as depression and overexertion. The intense emotions expressed in this song are well-suited for a design that aligns with PACT’s mission of promoting empathy.
