The Plush Project:
A cross media project
Cross Media is a comprehensive course in which designers have the opportunity to create a cohesive and unified project using a variety of media on a topic that they are particularly passionate about or interested in. The project's narrative must remain consistent while being expressed through different formats, ensuring that it resonates with a diverse audience. My project, titled “The Plush Project,” delves into the fascinating origins, inventive history, and the increasing popularity of the beloved Teddy Bear, drawing significant inspiration from my deep affection for stuffed animals throughout my life. This narrative is effectively conveyed through an interactive board game featuring quiz cards for engaging and educational play, which encourages participants to think critically, complemented by a wonderfully designed, textural, and easy-to-read storybook that enhances the overall experience. This project appeals to both adults and children alike, with younger audiences being enchanted by the vibrant colors and tactile components, while adults can gain valuable insights into one of America’s most cherished toy that has truly stood the test of time.
